Jim provides a range of investment banking services, including mergers and acquisitions advisory, private equity offerings, and related advisory services to privately-held and publicly-traded companies. He also provides strategic direction and is a member of Boenning & Scattergood’s Board of Directors.
Jim has over 25 years’ experience in senior management positions in the financial services, real estate, and telecommunications industries. He was the CEO of Atlantic American Properties Trust, a private real estate investment trust formed by the management buyout of Bell Atlantic Properties, one of the largest private owners of commercial and industrial real estate in the Mid-Atlantic region. Jim was responsible for the management buyout and raised $300 million in private equity capital to purchase the company. Prior to Bell Atlantic Properties, Jim was Vice President of Planning and Acquisitions for Bell Atlantic Capital Corporation, the diversified financial services arm of Bell Atlantic Corporation. In this capacity, he was responsible for the acquisition of companies in the computer leasing, asset-based lending, general equipment leasing, and medical equipment industries. In addition, Jim was involved with investments in the gaming, hospitality, and asset management business.
Formerly the owner of a middle-market investment banking firm, RDC Advisors, LLC, Jim advised clients in the small- to middle-market sector. The company's work included transactions in the medical equipment, information processing, and pharmaceutical consulting industries. Jim was also the CEO of two middle-market companies, GovXcel, a municipal-based software company, and Afinitas, an Internet-based provider of consumer retail products to philanthropic organizations.
Jim holds a BA from Amherst College, an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, and a Series 7, Series 63 and Series 24 license. He is a member of the Abington Memorial Hospital Foundation Board and the former President of the William Penn Charter School Alumni Board. He is active with Amherst College alumni activities and serves in volunteer capacities for a number of charitable, educational, and civic organizations throughout the Delaware Valley.

Keith Cox is one of the principals of the merger and acquisition advisory services team at Boenning & Scattergood. He provides a full range of advisory services to middle market companies across a broad range of industries. Prior to joining Boenning & Scattergood, Keith was responsible for Citigroup Capital Strategies’ merger and acquisition activities in the mid-Atlantic, focusing on transaction in the valuation range of $20 to $200 million. In his 19 years of experience, Keith has closed over 60 middle market transactions. He is actively involved in all phases of Boenning & Scattergood’s merger and acquisition advisory services, including valuations, strategic marketing and negotiating, structuring and closing transactions. Keith’s experience has crossed all major sectors of the economy and includes stock and asset sales, tax-free mergers, poolings, leveraged recapitalizations and management buyouts.
Keith is a graduate of the University of Texas where he received both his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration degrees. He is registered with the NASD and holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.

Chad Hull serves public and private companies with merger and acquisition advice, public offerings, private placements of debt and equity securities, and other financial advisory services. Chad has extensive experience in evaluating and structuring merger and acquisition transactions, performing valuations of financial assets and related concerns, rendering fairness opinions and raising both public and private capital.
Chad is a founding member of Boenning & Scattergood's investment banking practice, which was created through Boenning's acquisition of Chad's former firm, Berwind Financial, L.P., in November 2001. Berwind Financial was the investment banking arm of Philadelphia-based Berwind Group, a large, diversified family-owned holding company. Prior to joining Berwind Financial in 1995, Chad held various positions with First Fidelity Bank, a former New Jersey-based regional commercial bank.
During his career, Chad has advised on over 100 investment banking transactions representing over $4 billion of transaction value. In addition, he has provided over 60 fairness opinions to corporate boards and/or shareholders on transactions ranging from buy-side and sell-side mergers and acquisitions to capital restructurings. Chad has worked with clients in a multitude of industries, including specialty chemical, retailing, consumer products, hospitality and other related industries. A particular area of expertise is advising companies operating in the financial services industry, with emphasis on banks and thrifts. Boenning’s financial services practice is consistently among the most active in the region by volume of advisory transactions.

Mr. Hurly provides publicly traded companies and privately held businesses in the Life Sciences Industry with seasoned expertise in capital raising, partnering and M&A. He has considerable experience in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Medical Device sectors serving industry leaders worldwide for more than 15 years. Mr. Hurly and his team are able to provide expertise in assisting firms in reaching their strategic goals through deep global relationships. Most recently, he served as Managing Director and Head of the Health Care Group at Janney Montgomery Scott, LLC. Prior to 2004, Mr. Hurly was with Hambrecht & Quist and JP Morgan in San Francisco as well as Wasserstein Perella in New York City. He has completed over 100 deals with an aggregate value over $10 billion and has raised over $400 million in capital. Mr. Hurly earned a B.S. in engineering from Swarthmore College and his MBA from the University of Chicago.

Bill is a Managing Director in the firm’s Investment Banking group and heads up the group’s activities in the Water & Environmental sector. He has more than 16 years of experience in international utilities and infrastructure markets, focused on the areas of strategy development, mergers & acquisitions, corporate and project finance.
Previously, Bill headed business development efforts for an affiliate of Wexford Capital LLC in the water and environmental sector. He also served as Vice President, Business Development at American Water, responsible for all M&A activities and joint ventures, as well as managing major client and partner relationships for North America’s largest private water services provider. Prior to that, he held senior M&A/corporate development roles with the German utility groups RWE and E.ON, and has also worked as a management consultant and attorney in the utilities and infrastructure sectors.
His professional affiliations have included terms as an Advisory Board Member for the Urban Water Council of the US Conference of Mayors, and as Vice Chairman of the Water Institute of the National Council for Public-Private Partnerships. He earned his BS and JD at Georgetown University, and holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He is registered with the NASD and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.

As a Managing Director of Investment Banking, Jim is responsible for providing investment banking services, including M&A advisory, private placement, and public markets services, to the firm’s privately held and publicly traded clients.
Jim is a founding member of Boenning & Scattergood's investment banking practice, and has worked extensively with both public and private business owners on numerous M&A and corporate finance transactions across a wide range of industries.
Previously, Jim worked in the investment banking advisory groups of Griffin Financial, LLC, Berwind Financial L.P. and Brown Brothers Harriman & Co., as well as the commercial lending unit of CoreStates Bank. Jim also has industry operational experience as a former Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis for Traffic.com, Inc. (NasdaqNM: TRFC), where he was involved in the company’s capital budgeting and fund-raising activities.

David Parke specializes in public offerings, private placements, fairness opinions and mergers and acquisitions for emerging-growth companies, with a particular focus on the dynamic technology sector. David's experience delivers a strong background in capital markets with an in-depth understanding of the issues particular to technology companies.
David joined Boenning & Scattergood in 2006. Prior to that, David was with Mufson Howe Hunter & Company for three years where he was instrumental in launching and developing the firm's technology practice. He was previously with the corporate finance department of Investec, Inc. and its predecessor, Pennsylvania Merchant Group. He has managed or participated in 40 public offerings and private placements, raising over $1 billion for emerging-growth clients. In addition, he has managed mergers and acquisitions assignments ranging from $5 million to $500 million. Prior to joining Investec in 1992, Mr. Parke was in the corporate finance departments of Wheat First Butcher & Singer, now Wachovia Securities, and Legg Mason.
David received his MBA with Honors from The Wharton School and graduated summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Lehigh University with a B.S. in Finance. He has been a director of Petroleum Development Corporation, a publicly traded natural gas exploration and production company, since 2003 and chairs the board's Finance and Planning Committee as well as its Compensation Committee. James Adducci is responsible for working with clients on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, divestitures and recapitalizations.
Before joining Boenning & Scattergood, James was a Senior Financial Analyst in the M&A group at Altman Weil, Inc. in Philadelphia, where he worked on M&A transactions in the legal sector. Prior to Altman Weil, James worked as an Analyst in the diversified industrials group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein in New York, where he focused on cross-border M&A transactions in the construction equipment, building products, flow control and airport security industries.
James received his BA in economics from Carleton College in May 2000. He is registered with the NASD and holds Series 7 and Series 63 licenses.

Polk Smartt works with clients on mergers and acquisitions, private placements, divestitures, and recapitalizations. Prior to joining Boenning & Scattergood, Polk was an associate of business development and investor relations at BlackLight Power, a private research and development company in Cranbury, NJ, focused on commercializing a new method of power generation through hydrogen chemistry. At BlackLight, Polk was responsible for managing private equity offerings and reporting to company shareholders.
Polk received a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from The George Washington University and a Master of Business Administration with concentration in finance from the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University.
